Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is one of the plants as source essential oils, which are widely used food and beverage flavors aromatherapy. This plant has great potential to be developed due low prices high planting power. The extraction oils from lemongrass generally still uses conventional methods water distillation or steam distillation, requires a long time (about 6 hours) get good quality oil. However, with using microwave heating method, known Microwave Assisted Hydro (MAHD) considered able shorten time. research aims extract oil through microwave-assisted hydro method by studying effect time, power, ratio feed ingredients, well searching for optimal operating conditions Response Surface Methodology Method Box. Behnken Design (BBD). experiments were carried out under atmospheric pressure variables: strength solvent ratio, respectively. Before experiment starts, response surface methodology Box (3 factors 2 levels) planned minimize number experiments. maximum yield Micro Auxiliary much faster compared methods. results obtained effects parameters show that increase prediction value generated Box-Behnken design shows there conformity experiment, this optimization made more effective efficient can find significantly influence not, optimum highest yield. Then next focused on increasing in terms quantity.
